Paul
Maslin is one of
the leading observers of public opinion and campaign strategists in
the country. After a decade in
Washington
,
D.C.
, where he
advised six presidential candidates, a dozen
U.S.
Senators, and
scores of Governors, Mayors and members of Congress, Mr. Maslin
moved to
California
in 1989. In
1992, he joined Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin and Associates.
Mr. Maslin has
personally helped win many key campaigns in both
California
and across the
country in the past decade. In
2003-2004, he was the pollster and one of the key strategists in
Howard Dean's groundbreaking run for President which opened new
venues for grassroots organizing and fundraising. Mr. Maslin has
also advised U.S. Senator Herb Kohl, and Mayors Bill White of
Houston
and Tom Barrett
of
Milwaukee
. He was a key
strategist in all the campaigns from 1998-2003 of former
Governor Gray Davis of
California
and also for
State Treasurer Phil Angelides. He has also advised several
other members of the United States Senate and House of
Representatives, as well as other statewide, congressional, and
local candidates; and has provided his expertise to many ballot
initiatives in
California
and
Arizona
, ranging from
education reform to Indian gaming, which have proved victorious.
In addition,
Mr. Maslin has also advised many major organizations and foundations
including the American Federation of Teachers, the League of
Conservation Voters, the National Education Association, and the
Wellness Foundation; as well as corporations such as American
Express, Coca Cola, Disney, Levi-Strauss, Pacific Bell, and Pacific
Gas and Electric among others.
